    Our Goal: To improve the livability of Florence through public education and community involvement.
     
    Water Supply
    In 1998 and 1999, the Florence area had an annual rainfall of about 100" of rain - and yet, like the rest of the country, drinking water is hard to come by.  The City purchases about a third of it's water during summer months from Heceta Water District, and the rest comes from dunal wells.  Heceta Water District gets all its water from Clear Lake.
