Dear Jim and Nick:
The Florence Planning Commission and Citizen's Advisory Committee have asked me to respond to your letter of April 7, 2000 containing comments on proposed plan and zoning map amendments between Munsel Lake Road and Heceta Beach Road on Highway 101.
The Planning Committee and the Citizen's Advisory Committee have worked carefully to put the Draft Plan and code revisions together and welcome your instructive comments on their efforts.
The public hearings at the Planning Commission level are scheduled for June 1, 8, and 15, 2000. We intend to move forward into the hearings with the Draft Plan and maps in their present configuration and listen to public testimony before considering any changes.
In the meantime, staff has been requested by the PC/CAC to update the commercial lands inventory so they have a better understanding of the current data.
We appreciate your willingness to work with the community on these issues, and expect that we can reach a mutually satisfactory resolution.
Sincerely,
(signed)
Sandi Young, Community Development Director
