Re: Heceta Water District
Dear Mr. Soltis:
I understand that the Heceta Water District has asked
the City of Florence for “written
confirmation” that I am willing to temporarily waive the one million
gallon per day (mgd) restriction contained in Heceta’s Easement over my
property during the transition period while the City further develops its
well field capacity. I understand that this transition period could
take as long as two years requiring water withdrawals from Clear Lake in
excess of one mgd during the next two summers.
In response to Heceta’s request, and as a means to insure Florence residents that their needs for water will be met, please consider this letter as my written permission for the Heceta Water District to transfer sufficient water over my property during the years 2000-2001, for the purpose of meeting the historical water needs of the City of Florence (i.e., in conjunction with Heceta’s own use, totaling approximately 1.4 to 1.6 mgd during peak periods).
Please feel free to give me a call if you have any questions or need for anything further.
Sincerely,
Aaron U. Jones
