    Daybreak Adult Daycare -- Contact: Arlena Landrum, administrator, at The Shorewood for more information -- Daybreak is a social group for seniors with disabilities such as Alzheimer's, stroke, or Parkinson's. The group meets twice a week for four hours while family caregivers get a break.

    Siuslaw Area Women's Center -- 1576 W. 12th Street, P.O. Box 2144, Florence, OR 97439. The Women's Center has several programs for seniors in the Florence area:
    Elderhelp -- Contact: Marti Wicks -- Elderhelp is a volunteer program that gives homebound or frail seniors an hour or more per week of service in the area of shopping, errands, household help and light maintenance, etc.
    Emergency Services -- Gasoline, rent and utility assistance, clothing, and applicances are available to persons in need.
