Wastewater Treatment Plant
Although the existing wastewater treatment plant has been
well maintained, some of the critical mechanical systems have been in use
since the 1960s. Replacement and/or rehabilitation of some equipment is
needed to maintain reliability. Localized problems with infiltration and
inflow have been reported, most notably in the Old Town and north Florence
areas. In addition, bypassing has occurred at the Ivy Street pump station
during major flow events.
Engineering services are required for planning, preliminary
design, design, and construction related services. Specific task orders
will be prepared that describe the work, include a complete scope of work,
a limiting fee, and provide a schedule for the work. |
Task Order No. 1:
Facilities Plan
$ 233,000
Sewer Inspection (Task 3.5) $ 5,000

Water Facilities Plan
Rapid growth in Florence has caused peak water demand to
exceed production capacity and has made it necessary to use emergency storage
capacity and to purchase water from the Heceta Water District. The product
of this project will be a facilities plan that will serve as a planning
document for the city as it upgrades and expands the water utility to meet
the needs of the service area over the next 20 years and beyond.
Engineering services are required for planning, design,
and construction-related services. Specific task orders will be prepared
that describe the work, include a complete scope of work, a limiting fee,
and provide a schedule for the work. |
